A reader asked me for advice about curtains for her new home. She wants Scandinavian light curtains. I see two options.
1. Just go for very light and transparent curtains. I think that these ones are the best at summer time when we want as much light and sunshine as possible. They feel airy and fresh.
2. Now when the fall is approaching I preferer a mix of light and heavy curtains. Since I at the moment is very much in love with velvet I would like to suggest to hang the heavy curtain close to the wall and then to hang a lighter and more transparent curtain beside. That creates a more cozy and interesting style but still not too heavy.
Use colors in the same tone to create a soft and more exclusive look.
Important! Always hang the curtains as high up as possible. This makes the ceiling looking higher and the room looking more spacious. So, "Up with the Curtains"!
